Stéphanie Cormier grew up on the family farm in vegetable production in northwestern New Brunswick. She has been a Professional Agrologist since 2004. She’s been the Lead Inspector for AgCall- CropInspect in Region 1 (Atlantic) since 2014. She also travels to Region 2 (Eastern Quebec) for seed crop inspection. Stéphanie has been working in the seed industry since 2008. She is also a consultant in Nutrient Management Planning, Integrated Pest Management and Wood Ash Management. She was President of the New Brunswick Institute of Agrologists from 2014 to 2017 and she’s the mother of three young girls (12, 10 and 7 years old).

Through a diversity of interests and opportunity, Kim has been fortunate enough to have worked in multiple sectors. She has been employed in various aspects of the agriculture and horticulture industries for well over 30 years, from on-farm labour to research to entrepreneur. This will be Kim’s 6th year as an LSCI with CropInspect. Her passion is ethnobotany. The intricate web of relationships between people and the plants that sustain them has always intrigued her and she has focused her passion and research in seeking out, revitalizing, and reconnecting these relationships.
She has also worked in academia as a research assistant and instructor in the Environmental Management faculty at UNB, and for the Province of New Brunswick as a Project Manager for Environmental Impact Assessments. She is currently the Executive Director, Negotiations and Community Services for the New Brunswick Department of Aboriginal Affairs.
Gary previously worked for the Canadian Food Inspection Agency in the Seed, Feed, Fertilizer and Pesticide sections for 30 years. This work included registered seed establishments, feed mills, fertilizer plants and pesticide dealers. After retiring in 2010, he worked with Statistics Canada as an interviewer and census taker. In 2014 he completed the training to become a Licensed Seed Crop Inspector and began working with AgCall CropInspect doing field inspections as well as other contract projects with AgCall doing tele-specialist work. Gary is looking forward to another season of crop inspection!
Charles has worked for AgCall completing crop inspections for the last five (5) seasons. Prior to working with AgCall he spent 18 years working with the Canadian Food Inspection agency completing crop inspections, sample collections follow up investigations etc. He currently resides in Summerside PEI.

Bernard a acquis dans sa jeunesse une expérience pratique en grandes cultures et cultures maraîchères. Après un formation en technologie agricole dans ce domaine, il a œuvré pendant plus de vingt ans en vente et service technique en grandes cultures; il a aussi agi à titre contractuel pour différents fournisseurs de pesticides et de semences, et aussi comme agent de liaison sur des projets de pipelines et de parcs d’éoliennes, ainsi qu’à l’inventaire agricole de plusieurs de ces projets. Sa passion pour les pratiques culturales et son sens de l’observation lui rendent la tâche agréable et stimulante dans l’exécution de ses inspections, depuis les débuts de CropInspect dans ce domaine.
Bernard grew up acquiring extensive experience in cash crop and vegetable productions. With an Ag Technician diploma in hand, he performed for more than twenty years as a sales and technical representative in cash crop inputs; he also contracted technical services with various seed and pesticide suppliers, he was a land agent on pipeline and wind tower projects as well as land inventory technician on some of them. He thrives on inspection duties since the start of CropInspect operations in this domain.

Graduated from McGill University in Agricultural and Environmental sciences in 2007, Katherine worked in several different positions at an agricultural consulting firm from the 2006 to 2019. She decided to leave her position in 2019 to become self-employed and pursue new challenges. She is an agronomist since 2009 and seed inspector since 2015.

Après avoir travaillé en santé animale, Annick décide de se diriger plutôt en production agricole. En 2016 elle s’est jointe à l’équipe d’inspection de CropInspect en 2016.
After working in Animal Health, Annick decided to go towards agriculture. She graduated from McGill University in Animal Production in 2000, and has since worked mainly in cash crop production. She has held different positions related to the industry such as crop input retail sales representative, agronomic advising and follow-up, agri-environment and has done inspection work related to the use of fertilizer residual at MRC du Haut-Saint-Laurent. She joined the CropInspect team in 2016.
With a B.Sc. in Biology from UQAM and a B.Sc. in Agronomy from Laval, Michel has a very solid foundation in ag. His past work experience including 32 years working as a territory manager in both crop protection and seed and five (5) years as a sales rep, he has built many connections throughout the industry, and grown an understanding of producers needs. Michel completed his inspector training in 2019 and looks forward to more fields work in seasons to come.

Cory was born and raised on a dairy farm in rural Quebec before moving to Ottawa. Prior to working with AgCall, he spent 12 seasons as a certified seed inspector for CFIA working out of the Ottawa office.
With over 25 years of experience working with a Canadian seed association, Bruce supervised the contract multiplication, allocation and distribution of pedigreed seed to seed growers. He has a passion to work with seed growers to provide a quality product to meet their customer needs. Bruce has been a Licensed Seed Crop Inspector since 2014. He is a graduate of the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture.
Heather Scott is a professional agrologist with the Ontario Institute of Agrologists and the New Brunswick Institute of Agrologists specializing in soil health and fertility for cereal and potato crops. She graduated from the University of Guelph in 1992, with a BSc. Agr.degree and has gone on to obtain additional educational credits in food safety and sustainable agriculture production systems. Since graduating, she has gained valuable experience in the greenhouse & nursery industry in Ontario, working for three large companies as a horticulturist, pest management specialist and perennial plant production manager. In 2001 she moved to New Brunswick and worked as a potato agronomist for a large food processing company. Her experience in crop inspection has covered a wide range of crops from greenhouse & nursery crops to grains and potatoes. While working in the nursery industry, she inspected all imported plant material entering the farms and co-ordinated on-site inspections. Her passion for agriculture has taken her over acres of fields, with the goals of providing the best extension services to growers, focusing on improving crop yields and quality. She is glad to “come home” to Ontario and the family farm in Quinte West.
Kelly Nesic joined AgCall as an inspector in 2014. In the 2017 season she took over as Lead Inspector for Region 5. Kelly has been involved in the agricultural industry since graduating from the University of Guelph in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. She has worked in both sales and research for major agricultural companies and has worked with a wide variety of crops during her time in the industry. She really enjoys connecting with seed growers and helping them with their inspections.
Les resides in Bruce County with his wife Mary. He was born and raised on a dairy farm and has been involved with cash-crop, beef and hog production for the last 40+ years. He has also worked in agri-business for the last 30 years, owning and operating Crop Watch Crop Consulting. He has an Ag Diploma from University of Guelph and is a Certified Crop Advisor. He is involved with several agricultural and municipal committees including South Bruce Community & Business Association, Source Water Protection Committee and president of Ontario Soil & Crop Improvement Association.
Doug Kraemer is a native of Bruce County, having been raised on a mixed farming operation, near the village of Formosa, Ontario. After receiving his diploma as a Agricultural Laboratory Technologist, from Ridgetown College of Agricultural Technology, Doug joined Agriculture Canada. The next 39 years were spent with both Agriculture Canada and The Canadian Food Inspection Agency where Doug was an Agricultural Inputs Specialist Inspector, working on both inspection and training duties respecting the Feed, Seed, Fertilizer and Plant Protection Programs. Doug has extensive experience in Seed Production and Processing. Upon his retirement in 2015, Doug continues to farm with his brother, and has joined our staff as a Crop Inspector, working out of Walkerton, Ontario.

Kingsley Snelgrove grew up on a mixed beef, poultry and crop farm just outside of London, Ontario in Middlesex County. He attended the University of Guelph and received his BSC. Agr. He then went to work as a research agronomist for FMC and then into sales and marketing for Monsanto. He also worked as Market Development Manager for CIL Agriculture and Ralston Purina. He was hired into an advertising agency as an agricultural specialist and after several agencies and years later became President of three well known Agricultural oriented Advertising Agencies with various large BioScience companies as clients. He retired to Port Stanley six years ago and has been working on projects with AgCall ever since. Three years ago, he received his crop inspection license for cereals and soybeans and has been with CropInspect for two years. He is really enjoying being back in the fields where he started his career.
Sid grew up in rural Peel County, where he was first exposed to agriculture on neighborhood dairy farms. He participated in 4-H dairy club for ten years and completed a diploma in agriculture from Ridgetown College. Sid’s crop inspecting experience started in 2017 when he completed the LSCI training and began working with AgCall CropInspect. He really enjoys crop inspection and the work environment, being in the outdoors and having the opportunity to meet and develop relationships with some of Canada’s excellent seed growers!
Brian lives in Perth County, is a 1980 Bsc Agriculture graduate of the University of Guelph, and Certified Crop Advisor. Brian's career served in public extension with OMAFRA delivering leading edge agronomic, soil stewardship, and business ideas and advice to producers and agronomists in Ontario. More currently Brian served as a Sales & Marketing Manager with a Precision Ag business, and he still does some marketing and consultation. His passion for agriculture extends beyond agronomy to embrace openness to new ideas, relentless pursuit of improvement, empowering young people (4-H), and connecting the dots.
Jennifer Strang was raised on the farm her great-great-grandfather established outside of Exeter, ON. Although agriculture has played a major role in her life, it took Jennifer a while to figure out that farm life is indeed the best life. In the meantime, she worked in at luxury resorts in the Canadian Rockies and the Caribbean, and then became a freelance writer/editor after earning a degree in communications. Jennifer worked with clients in various industries while travelling abroad, and returned to Ontario in 2015 with a desire to be more involved with her family and the farm. She was hired locally as a grain inspector and thoroughly enjoyed grading grain and working at elevators and shipping terminals before taking a recent career turn into technical writing. On the family farm, Jennifer prefers physical labour and is the farm's crop scout, stone picker, and weed whacker. She has been a seed crop inspector since 2017 and enjoys all aspects of inspections--especially long, peaceful walks on a sunny day and getting to know the growers.
Kimberly grew up in rural Ontario on her family farm in Hastings County, which consists of corn, wheat, soybeans, dairy, beef and market garden. She finished her B.Sc in Animal Biology and Minor in Food Science and M.Sc. at the University of Guelph. She then continued her education with a Diploma in Human Resources. Kimberly was honoured to be selected for the Advanced Agricultural Leadership Program (AALP) and a graduate of Class 14. In her spare time, Kimberly drives AZ truck, shows dairy cattle and volunteers with 4-H Ontario. In order to stay active, she plays volleyball, golf, curling, downhill skiing, and ball hockey. Kimberly is excited and looking forward to work with various industry members while inspecting various crop types. The opportunity to learn from each grower and industry leader, as each person brings a different skill set, diverse knowledge base, and unique perspective to the table.

Dave grew up on a family farm near Culross, MB. Although he pursued a career in education, he continued to return home to assist his brothers who were farming. After a career in education and retiring as a school administrator, Dave pursued part-time work with CFIA where he was trained in crop inspection. Following his employment with CFIA, Dave joined the CropInspect team where he currently Leads a team of 12 inspectors.
Melody has inspected with AgCall CropInspect since 2014. She grew up on a cow calf farm and continued her agriculture path after graduation from U of M in 2006. She farms a 1800 head feedlot and 4500 acres north of Portage la Prairie with her husband Lyle, their three kids Chet, Calli and Kain and her brother in law Brad.
Stan Stadnyk, P. Ag., CCA, graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Diploma in Agriculture and a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. Stan has been a Certified Crop Advisor since 2008. Stan has over 32 years of experience in serving farmers and rural clients as an Agricultural Representative and a Farm Production Advisor. Past work included field crop production extension, crop surveillance and diagnostics, and coordinating crop variety evaluation trials for 20 years. Stan has been a seed crop inspector with CropInspect since 2014.
Roger has an extensive ag background having years of experience in the crop protection industry. Formerly an Esso retail manager and more recently 20 years of service with Terra Flex, an independent crop protection company, he brings a vast knowledge of management, agronomy and crop production. Roger fills his time farming in the Ste. Agathe region and in summer is part of the CropInspect team as a licensed certified seed inspector. His familiarity with current production practices gives him strong communication skills and the ability to connect with growers.
Bob is engaged in many aspects of agriculture and brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise from his experience. He has a Bachelor of Science and Education and works part time as a High School Apprenticeship Coordinator. He is part of a five-generation farm operation near Rossburn, MB, Board of Director for the Manitoba Oat Growers Association and Prairie Oat Growers Association. He is an active member of the Seed Regulatory Modernization process as well as involved in provincial and federal government lobby groups dealing with different ag issues. He draws particular interest in the seed industry with past involvement with CFIA, and Farmers Edge. He is a valued and dedicated member of the inspection team for AgCall CropInspect covering a large territory across western Manitoba.
Barrie is a CropInspect LSCI and a business development consultant for AgCall. With AgCall, he works with companies in the seed, crop inputs and retail sectors developing customer engagement strategies. Prior to joining AgCall in 2000, he farmed in the Red River valley and was in business with his 2 brothers in Manikel Ag, a farm machinery and fertilizer business. He is a practicing agrologist and a member of the MIA. Barrie and his wife Joy live on the family farm, have 4 married children and are blessed with 7 grandchildren.
Danna has a B.Sc. in Agriculture from the University of Manitoba. Prior to joining the CropInspect Team she was an inspector with the CFIA for 10 years. Danna lives on a mixed pure bred Simmental cattle and grain farm near Darlingford with her husband Todd and their kids Brooke and Hayden.
Sergey is from the middle of part of European Russia. He completed a M.Sc. in agronomy in 1996 and a PhD in the field of soil science in 2000. He holds both a CCA and P.Ag. designation and has been working as an agronomist since 2001. He moved to Canada in 2011 and continued his path in agronomy working as a senior agronomist with Farmers Edge, as well he completed his Licensed Seed Crop Inspector training to work as an LSCI around the Winnipeg area. Outside of agronomy and crop inspection, Sergey enjoys gardening and is a passionate fisherman.
Terry graduated from the U of M with a diploma in agriculture. He is a former farmer and seed grower with Select Grower status and over 25 years growing experience producing pedigree cereals, flax, canola, and hemp as well as the former owner/operator of Rempel Seed Service Ltd., a seed and grain processor that operated in the Springstein, Manitoba region from 1978-2009. He also spent 10 years on the Manitoba Seed Growers Association board of directors including 2 years as president. Terry was the lead inspector, manager and trainer for over 35 LSCI’s inspecting for Farmers Edge when it was an ASCIS in the Prairie Provinces.
Isaac worked for 15 years as a professor, teaching and doing research in seed technology. In 2015, he got a sabbatical position as a visiting research fellow at the Department of Plant Science, University of Manitoba. He became a P.Ag. and got his first LSCI license in 2017, the same year he started working for CropInspect with the AgCall team in Manitoba. In 2020, he is working toward integrating his pedigreed seed inspection activities with smart breeding research and organic seed production.
Ryan has been involved with the agricultural community his entire life, growing up on a small farm east of McCreary, MB. Ryan gained ample experience in crop inspection in a former role with the CFIA where he worked as a lead inspector for 10 years training and mentoring other inspectors. This experience enables him now as an LSCI for AgCall to know the expectations and procedures associated with crop inspection inside and out. Ryan inspects everything from plots, forages, cereals, and soybeans to canola & hemp. Along with his experience in crop inspection, Ryan is familiar with regulation and procedures in grain export and seed sampling (Canadian Grain Sampling Program) & AEP (Authorized Exporter Program).
Beth was born in Wales, U.K, where her family farmed mixed livestock. She moved to Manitoba in 2001, where they had a mixed cattle farm.
In 2012 Beth graduated from Assiniboine Community College with an Agribusiness Diploma and then she moved to St-Léon, where her and her husband are proudly raising their own family on the family farm.
Holly grew up on a grain and cattle farm in Southern Alberta. She has a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of Lethbridge. Prior to joining AgCall, she worked for Agriculture Canada as a Research Assistant with a focus on crop breeding and integrated pest management. She then trained and became a CFIA accredited Germination Analyst and Licensed Seed Crop Inspector. She did this for three (3) years before moving to Saskatchewan. Holly joined the CropInspect team in 2017.
Jim, Ferrie P.Ag, MSc, CCA, after 30 years with Saskatchewan Wheat Pool and Viterra as a Senior Research Agronomist has now retired. He has been a Certified Seed Crop Inspector for many years. Jim is a member of the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists and a Certified Crop Adviser.
David has been actively involved in the Saskatchewan Ag Industry for over 40 years. He is currently the Southwest Saskatchewan Territory Sales Manager for United Agri Products. He is licensed as a Pesticide Applicator, Seed Treater, Fumigator, Certified Crop Science Consultant (CCSC), along with being a Licensed Seed Crop Inspector (LSCI) for the past 8 inspection seasons.
Ed, PAg (Retired), after farming full-time for many years, is presently a hobby farmer. He has extensive work-related experience in the pedigreed seed and fertilizer business.
Max grew up on a grain farm in the Swan River Valley of west-central Manitoba. Following graduation from the University of Manitoba, Max returned to the farm and farmed for 45 years, 40 years as a pedigreed seed grower in a variety of crop kinds. During this time, he served on the executive or as director of a number of organizations, namely Canola Council of Canada, Manitoba Seed Growers Association, Western Canadian Canola/Rapeseed Recommending Committee, Western Grains Standards Committee, and Canterra Seeds Ltd. Following retirement from farming in 2013, Max worked for 3 seasons with CFIA in Manitoba in seed crop inspection and is looking forward to his 7th season with AgCall CropInspect in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Amelia has worked with AgCall since privatization of seed crop inspections in 2014. She keeps busy doing project management for CropInspect throughout the winter months and then works in the field inspecting and delivering support and training throughout Alberta in the summer.
Having come from an export hay farm near Olds, AB and completing a B.Sc. in plant biochemistry, Amelia has always had strong ties to the agriculture industry. She thoroughly enjoys the opportunities to work together with primary producers and to attend the many seed industry conferences across the country.
Outside of CropInspect, Amelia spends much of her time ‘cross training’ for field inspection, whether it’s on her mountain bike, skis or running, it’s outdoors and there are usually mountains near by.
John has 15 years of primary production experience with a wide range of crops including wheat, peas, chickpeas, canola and potatoes. In addition, he has also done customer service dealing solving a variety of problems in regards to drying and storage management of grains and oilseeds.
While completing a Bachelor of Science Degree at the University of Lethbridge, Monique worked for Agriculture and Agri-food Canada as an agricultural research technician. Through her education and work experience she gained an appreciation and a working knowledge of agriculture which lead her to train as a Licensed Seed Crop Inspector. She began inspecting with AgCall in 2016 and looks forward to working closely with growers in Southern Alberta again this year.
Alex (BSc/BEd) has worked in diverse agricultural services in Lethbridge and is currently involved in winter wheat breeding and genetics. He is certified by CFIA to inspect forages, cereals, pulses and specialty crops. When not in the field, he spends time with family and friends, kayaking, swimming and camping. He looks forward to working with growers in Southern Alberta as part of the AgCall CropInspect team during this transition.
Bill’s younger years were spent on the family farm, after which he earned a diploma in Livestock Production Technology from Fairview College, a BSc in Agriculture at U. of Alberta and a BA from U. of Calgary in Political Science, with a special interest in policy and agricultural development.
He worked as a range inspector in Northern Alberta and did extensive soil surveys on land set aside for possible homesteading and range development. He continues to study strategies directed at the use of marginal lands for grazing.
For more than 25 years he was a partner in a small cash-grain and commodity futures company in Central Alberta where he had the extreme pleasure of working with the farm community on several levels of production and marketing.
In 2018 he was certified as a licensed seed crop inspector (LSCI) and spent a very interesting summer working in that capacity with CropInspect and helping AgCall on some of their field trials.
Matt grew up in London, Ontario and moved out West at the age of 15. Soon after finishing high school, he joined the Ag industry, and that is where he found his true passion. His love for the industry only grew from there, along with his career. Matt is a CropInspect LSCI and an Account Manager for AgCall. When not in the office or out in the field, he can be found playing hockey or cheering for his favourite team, The Toronto Maple Leafs.
Kevin Boltezar is a born and raised farm boy from Southern Alberta. He has been inspecting seed crops in the area for the past four years and is certified in cereals, pulses, grasses and legumes. He also currently operates a small grain farm with his brother near Coaldale, AB. Wheat, barley, and canola have been the top three crops of choice.
Terry was born and raised on a commercial cattle farm in central Saskatchewan. Over the years, he has gained skills and knowledge of farming practices through hands on work in cattle and grain production. He also has significant experience in the oil and gas sector, specifically in negotiation, public consultation and acquisitions. Terry was trained as an LSCI in 2017 and has completed inspections over a large portion of central Alberta. When not at work, he enjoys fishing, hunting and working with his horses.
Megan grew up on a mixed farm in southwest Saskatchewan, and received a Horticulture Production Degree from Olds College. Having worked in a variety of horticulture/agriculture settings, Megan has experience with crop management, IPM, as well as field and facility auditing. In 2021 Megan became licensed as a seed crop inspector, and joined the AgCall/CropInspect Team. When not exploring fields, Megan enjoys being outdoors whether it be biking, horseback riding, or tending to her garden.
Wade is the General Manager of a seed cleaning plant in the Grande Prairie area. He is an accredited grader for pedigreed seed and has been a licensed operator of an approved conditioner and bulk storage facility since 1999. He has worked with AgCall completing inspections around the Grande Prairie area since 2014.
Vince Jones has been involved in agriculture for the past 30 years. For the past 11 years he has owned and operated a private independent agricultural consulting business south east of Edmonton. Providing all levels of service to his clients including soil fertility management, crop inspection for herbicide, disease and insects as well as, crop diagnostics.
He is a member of Certified Crop Advisors, Certified Management Consultants, American Society of Agronomy, Crop Science Society of America and Soil Science Society of America. He is also spends time volunteering in the community and received the Community Volunteer of the Year award in 2013.
Amber was raised on a mixed cow/calf and export timothy hay operation north of Cochrane. After finally admitting to her addiction for agriculture, she attended Olds College and attained a diploma in Agricultural Production and an applied degree in Ag Business. In 2005 she moved to Fairview to work for an applied research association, met her husband and moved her cows up north. Together they run a mixed cow/calf and grain operation outside of Fairview. She had always heard that once you drink water from the Peace River you would never leave, and boy was that ever the case!!! Amber started crop inspecting with CFIA in 2005, and worked for them until the end of the season in 2013. She took 2014 off after having their first daughter in July, but went back to work for private industry the next year.
“I have a real passion for the certified seed industry and its growers, so much so that last summer I was known as the "crazy pregnant crop inspector" roaming around the fields. I had our second daughter in September, which was perfect so I didn't have to miss out on another crop inspection season.”
Amber is looking forward to re-connecting with the growers and getting out to spend some time outdoors in one of the most beautiful places in the province.
Shelby Richards has been emersed in agriculture her entire life. She grew up in the Alberta Peace Country on a seed grain farm which furthered her interest for a career in agriculture. She recently obtained her diploma in Crop Technology at Lakeland college in Vermillion.
