AgCall CropInspect completes inspections in all nine CSGA regions across the country, has established processes and offers extensive IT and head office support to its network of inspectors.

AgCall CropInspect is committed to providing a strong leadership structure across the country, including a dedicated project manager providing overall direction and support and a Lead inspector for each region to train and mentor other inspectors. This structure also creates job progression opportunities for LSCI.

For individuals aligned with AgCall as their ASCIS, AgCall CropInspect is willing to cost share up-front training costs with an allowance for successful certification payable in the fall once crop inspections are successfully completed. After gaining experience, inspectors can upgrade their license to enable them to inspect other crops.

AgCall CropInspect will also implement internal training programs that will enhance the skills of AgCall CropInspect inspectors. This training will take place periodically during the employment period. Our objective is to have the best trained team in the industry.

Qualifications, Requirements & Expectations

AgCall’s approach is to supply the right people with the right skillset in the right geography. Ideal candidates will possess all of the following attributes and qualifications:

  • Engaged in the agriculture industry
  • Trained and possess LSCI license from the CFIA
  • Capable of inspecting in the region in which they live
  • Open to working in neighboring regions if required
  • A team player with ability to work on their own with minimal daily supervision
  • Communicates well with the rest of the team
  • Punctual and dedicated to providing superior customer service
  • Capable of working beyond regular business hours
  • Be available to work within the timeframe that seed crop inspections are to occur. Generally speaking, from early July to late October.
  • Supply own mobile phone, voicemail, fax machine, computer, other office supplies and email for use during the seed crop inspection term
  • Supply own vehicle that is reliable and carry a minimum of $1,000,000 in personal and third party liability insurance
  • Has knowledge and commitment to using tablet and computer technology for data capture and flow

Compensation structures will recognize the level of training and the level assigned by CFIA for the individual’s LSCI license. Compensation rates are very competitive in the marketplace and available through discussion with AgCall CropInspect Managers. Full details in contract form will be provided to successful candidates before employment.
